OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
At Ladybird, we believe in laying the foundations for Kindness and Empathy towards others from a young age is important.
Through our fundraising efforts, we teach our children the importance of giving back to the community, which will go with them throughout their lives.
Our Recent Fundraisers
Ladybird raised £ 1120.25
We are using this money to improve our children's physical and gross motor skills with some new outdoor equipment.
Daffodil Weekend 2025
Fundraising for Ladybird
Daffodil Weekend is a grand event in Thriplow: there are lots of stalls, rides, games, catering vans and charity stalls.
With the help of staff and parents/carers we ran a 'Adopt a cuddly toy' stall and Ladybird also joined forces with Thriplow school in making the sandwiches for them to sell in their tea room.
Working together as a community is very important, showing kindness and consideration of others.
We also were lucky to received £1500 grant from the Daffodil Weekend Trust
This was towards our new awnings.
Down Syndrome Day
Fundraising for the charity
The children were asked to come in wearing odd socks, representing that everyone is different.
They really enjoyed exploring the differences and similarities of their socks. They took part in lots of fun activities and listened to some great stories.
Parents were asked to donate online if they could.
